ABOUT US

Wild Woman Wise Woman started in 2004 with a group of women friends getting together to do a small fundraiser.

In 2005 we raised $2800 for a local family in need.

The following year $7,800 was sent to The Navajeevan Orphanage in Calcutta India through the funds raised in an evening of women having fun together.

In 2008 after a year of renovation and Coyote became Hanna's, we formed a committee and with a little more work, Wild Woman Wise Woman raised $26,000 for East Meets West Orphans Foundation and helped destitute children living in orphanages around the world. So far some of the money went to eight children for life saving surgeries.

Year 2009 Wild Woman Wise Woman became a foundation, and we supported The Ayden Project http://www.theaydenproject.com to help build a much needed 24/7 child care facility to include children of all ages and built a Creativity Room for healing at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter with $20,000 raised.

During our “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” fundraiser, we raised over $2,000 and gave to Julianna, a young girl who went to Cambodia for the Somaly Mam foundation to help end human trafficking, to Corie who took the money to an orphanage in Dominican Republic, and to a young single mom in Kelowna whose 2 year old daughter Serenity is going through treatment for Leukemia through sales of gently used shoes, purses, and jewelry.

Wild Woman Wise Woman have also been working on getting Oprah to come visit Kelowna where we would be able to raise even more money with her presence. We believe that Oprah will come! Send Oprah a note and ask her to come to the Okanagan to help raise funds for our cause, write often and ask your friends to help as well. Oprah will begin to wonder why she is being called to come to Kelowna and may just want to find out.

This year we have supported the Haiti orphanage
